Despite being criticized for their racist ideology, Arghoslent has become a popular underground artist especially after the release of Incorrigible Bigotry , their albums gathering mostly positive reviews.

Arghoslent released their debut full-length studio album "Galloping Through the Battle Ruins" in but before then the band had recorded 4 demos. Their second full-length studio album "Incorrigible Bigotry" was released in while it would be 6 years before they released their much praised third full-length studio album "Hornets of the Pogrom" in So Joshua smote the land Cleansed of the kings and their scribes Reclaim thy hallowed ground For thy Lord God, Israel Immersed in the meaning of the era's end Dueling over sovereignty of holy sand Talmudic rats roam the Judean plain As vagabonds inherit years of pain Immersed, in the era's end Shards of glass penetrate blood-soaked sands As razor-sharp tears in the flesh of Christ Recite the lies that strip them of life 7.

Incursions [instrumental] 8. Fall Of The Melanic Breeds The cloaked loyalists launch a raid To stem the tides of the uncontrollable plagues The righteous and holy, detest our objectives The guillotine's blade left them headless Hooded knights emerge from the ossuary To curse the lonely who permit our denigration Retro-procreation, a blatant disgrace To the majestic pool of pristine genes What thoughts flow among the ranks of the forsaken populace?

A zenith will bloom from the odor of melanin's riddance Technology destroyed the creatures' purpose on earth Global winds promulgate their discomfort and grief They label us oppressors, a typical scapegoat For their lives of rot and decay Two dimensional minds in a three dimensional sphere The trans-Saharan trade birthed a ninth-century delight The pathetic melanin bred repeatedly fall Like a northern storm on Ghana in his throne 9.

Rape Of A Slave Come forth you shameless dark cunt Appeal to my mercy for your life I command the helpless dame Bound and shackled in chains In secluded regions Atop mountain heights The mystic starlight Impurity of the night Hear the crowd chant her name Pelting the peon with stones Devoid of nurture and care Lusting the vengeance of her stare Orbiting flames greet the dark The sounds of shackles commence The androcentric gem of life The fierce crack of the whip Rape of a Slave Solos are tastefully inserted into a good majority of the songs, and humbly yet surprisingly effectively add to the overall momentum of a song, instead of derailing it with pointless showboating.

The supporting cast also does more than a stellar job keeping up with the guitarists. Von Demonicus boasts a powerful voice that falls comfortably between the raspier work on Incorrigible Bigotry and the more guttural vocals on Hornets Of The Pogrom.

Behind the kit, Alienchrist stands tall as a great drummer; just check out the instrumental track Incursions to get a good idea of his style. His rhythms are creative but not over the top, and he does a perfect job at balancing tasteful showmanship and tempo with fitting fills while galloping along to the guitars. Consider if you will, the art of genre juggling to be like mixing ingredients in a blender; bands like Between The Buried And Me use only the finest ingredients of course, yet they only set that blender on for like 5 odd seconds, resulting in chunky bits of different genres sloppily spun into an audio smoothie full of awkward bits of conflicting textures.

Arghoslent on the other band, distill their multifarious influences like good ole' batch of Virginian moonshine, resulting in a smooth, rich and consistent flavor that is ever so intoxicating. I seriously struggle to find flaws with this band's music, mainly due to the fact that they do what they set out to do so damn well, or at least it sounds like it. If anything was to be of complaint here it would have to be the band's dedication to the riff, as contradictory as it seems considering its the riffs that also make the band so special.

Arghoslent's music almost falls victim to thrash metal syndrome, but saves itself with interesting songwriting. Despite their best efforts though, the album can fall from the listener's attention at times simply because the dynamics remain too consistent throughout the album.

Overall, Arghoslent's debut does everything a good death metal debut album should; be raw but intelligent, creative yet palatable, consistent yet volatile. At the end of the day, some people may be turned away by thr bands image, not that this is anything new in the metal world; but really it is their loss.

We march to divinity with our destiny in our wings Over desolate lands of earth and sand where the chosen Jews were raised Praise thee, hymns of archaic lore foretell of a time to be Evolving forth into the light, forging a new destiny Through ice and through snow, though darkness and light, The ferocity of the struggle attests to the might Defile the angelic They're with the Hammerskins, another racist affiliation. Despite being a debut LP, Galloping Through The Battle Ruins shouldn't be considered a raw and unfettered version of the style found on their two latter albums, as by this point Album) band had already been releasing music for 7 years and their songwriting was already excellent.
